A WIN discussion March 2025. See the recording HERE.
The fragile ceasefire reached in January between Israel and Hamas is now at breaking point. In Gaza, where tens of thousands are known to have been killed and countless more buried under the rubble, Israel has cut off all food, electricity, water and medical supplies. It has intensified its repression in the West Bank, fought with Hezbollah in Lebanon, invaded Syria, and threatened a new war with Iran. How will this conflagration end? Can the Zionist mirage survive of Israel as a national homeland for Jews worldwide? Can a viable Palestinian state ever be created alongside it? What are the prospects for the creation of a single democratic secular state? What are the implications for all the other artificially imposed states in the region? What future lies ahead for Israel itself?
To introduce this vital discussion, we were proud to welcome Moshe Machover. Moshe is a veteran socialist and lifelong political activist, and the founder of the Israeli left organisation Matzpen.
