The world’s media have been busy congratulating Trump on his 20-point plan to “end the war in Gaza”… although it offers Palestinians no part in running Gaza or any other part of Palestine, and no mechanism for keeping in check the genocidal Israeli state. The plan has been signed in the context of worldwide demonstrations: the globalisation of the intifada. Mass movements in solidarity with the Palestinians have surged throughout the two years of the genocide – in some cases (including Italy, France, Morocco and Indonesia) becoming a major feature of general strikes and uprisings. What is the likely outcome of this deal? Can this global movement be suppressed by imperialist governments?
